 In this post I will be looking at the opening sequence of Scream and analyse the setting.

The opening sequence of Scream takes place in a modern, upscale suburban home in the evening. The tension builds as the camera focuses on Tara who is alone and vulnerable when she receives a mysterious call from a voice she does not recognise. During this opening sequence the mood shifts from calm to chaotic as the killer gets closer and closer to Tara before eventually killing her.
